hi everyone! i've been popping in and out of here a few times and thought that i would offically say, '"hi, i'm new" i found this site by accident, actually just looking for information regarding degenerative scoliosis. i'm not finding much, though. i was first told i had scoliosis when i was 12 years old. after many years of tests and braces, i had my spine bolted and fused when i was 16. i did ok until i hit my mid 20's; now i can barely walk. i just tell people i'm "falling apart" LOL anyway, i actually have a hard time talking about it all...so, um, ya. HI!

Hi Trinity:
I too am new to this website as of today, 5/14/2008 but your e-mail caught my attention because I have a daughter who is 11 years old and was diagnosed with scoliosis in 2007. What advise would you give to me since you are living this journey.
The curve on her spine is in the low 20's. The doctor says no need to be alarmed right now but to just keep her active. She has not started her "cycle" as yet , he said to keep her drinking a lot of milk to build her bones right now.
Any words of wisdome you could share would be appreciated.
My name is Carolyn.
