Hi TriDog. Everyone.... Sorry the company I am working with will not allow me to post pictures for legal reasons and patent reasons. Trust me..it is revolutionary and is designed to eleviate most of the problems riders have including simply getting on and off the bike. Handbikes should be designed for disabled by disabled. Rest assured when this bike come availabe, not only will it make riding easier but also faster, safer and more fun. I have designed several versions. I hope to have a bike set a speed record as I designed it for racing. I demanded the BEST of all worlds from getting on and off the bike, to using less strength to power the bike, to giving more endurance, to being the fastest bike available to riders. A T4 para fitness trainner has helped with tips on what riders need and how muscles can be used to get the most with least effort and maximize potential. So have patience, the bike will set new standards or handbiking. Just like anything, sports equipment evolves.

Hi FROG ! First let me say I love your name. I am a Christian also.
I can not go into details of why the hands will not go numb(patent reasons) but it was one of the concerns I had in designing the new handbike. I went over every aspect of riding and talking to riders about what they liked and disliked about handbikes available now. I took that feedback and tried to solve all the problems I could and believe me there are more than just hands getting numb. Alot of the time your numbness comes from circulation issues starting in the shoulders that the bike's motions force you to do.
What if I can solve that and make you a bike that not only reduces or eliminates the numbness in your hands but also requires less strength to power the bike faster than the one you have?
My first goal was to make a bike easier to get on and off of. Second was to make a very fast bike that requires less strength to power it. Third make it more affordable to riders. The more I got into designing the bike the more issues I found I could solve. I presented a company with more than 12 different designs, each one better than before using feedback from riders, paras and strength trainers. This company makes an amazing bikes for abled riders and the marriage was perfect. The president of the comany has a best friend who is a para and a rider so they both saw the potential right away. That man has the vision. I have even designed the first and ONLY handbike that could be riden by a quad amputee !
It is amazing what we disabled can design when we want to since we know what we lack and what a bike needs to help with certain limitations we may have. You see I realize we do not overcome our disabilities...we accept them and perform to our best with our heart and spirit using technology sometimes to our benefit. I have never seen an amputee overcome his disability by growing a new leg. He is still disabled but he can perform at the level he chooses. And by that I mean even the fastest amputee runner, even the one trying out for the Olympics...at the end of the day when he removes his prosthetics...he is still disabled bless his heart.
Anyway...God bless you all and keep the faith FROG !

So who are you working with to get this bike built? I have been thinking of a design but it is more like a baskeball chair set up but I am not sure how it will react once it is built, it is only in my head right now...other than the bike parts I am collecting to get ready to build it.

That is fantastic ! Try to develope your idea. The best ideas and designs are going to come from people who actually ride the handbikes. If I can help you in anyway please let me know.
