    • Astrazeneca does this, don't know how it works though.

    • After 5 good years, finishing college and teaching for 3 of those, I haven't been able to work for 6 years.  Going through horrible med change right now.  Just finishing a week long manic phase.  Not fun!

    • I took Lamictal for years, and it was helpful.  Took Depakote (also anti-seizure) which was not. I'm taking a couple of new meds and tried one anti-seizure which was a disaster. It all depends on the individual.  As for weight gain - Depakote put on 50 lbs.

    • I just started abilify as I ramp of seroquel and am having success, at least with the latest ramp up of it. Seems to tone down the mania that losing the seroquel was causing.  Which was (pardon the word) Insane! The paint the house with a toothbrush all night and spend your entire student loan on ebay kind of mania.  Once I got my new dose of Abilify I'm down to just basic extreme house cleaning, small Target shopping mania.  I see the psych doc on Friday when we'll up it again, so we'll see.

    • Thank you all for the feed back on depakote. and seraquel. I am still struggling with the insomnia along with anxiety attacks. I still need a sleeping pill. I feel hopeless sometimes. I feel like I am alone. No matter what I take, after 4/5 weeks my body gets used to the drug, And I am back where I started. I am mre concerned about the anxiety and how it feels like my heat is going to beat out of my chest when the happen and of course the insomnia, this is driving me crazy.I feel there is not any drug that will work for me, we just keep trying. Any feedback is welcomed
