Sex, Sexuality & Fertility

I know that when my accident happened at age 40...........when my husband and I would disagree about something.........his response was " who........but me.......would stay with you the way you are now { a paraplegic with no feeling below the waist }. Now of course I know that this statement had to do more with his own insecurtities but at a time I was trying to work out my own issues with being feminine.......a new and foriegn sexuality..........they were very hurtful. Needless to say......we didn't last very long. It's just NOT what he'd signed up for.........we;d only been married for less than three years...........Anyway......for me........aches and pains certainly have taken over........and sex...........that's a drink......right ?........Peace and love.......Norma

yup your both right, i guess i just wanted to complain. a fool speak his mind before he knows what he is trying to say. I have learned much in life but some things i just never learn. I guess i'm way off the perfect mark. so how hot is Arizona, it's so hot we no longer have birds singing in the trees we now have plenty of rotiserie chicken for everyone. Hungry! Sorry, Becky, but those are remarks, made by the woman in the relationship and recounted in the earlier thread, that should not be made at any age.  Many people have sex into their late old age.  Others don't, but those remarks are uncalled for, and do not reflect a loving atmosphere.  Aches and pains can come with age, but so do wisdom and shared beauty, for the right two people.  It is uncalled for for this woman to treat this man in such an ugly fashion when he is still hurting.  Nanal has an understanding, forgiving nature, but that does not mean that this man should miss out on what could be a wonderful relationship in his more senior years.  And if he does not find a partner, it would still be better than to suffer the abuse he is currently experiencing.

I am not thinking clearly here. I had to take some Ativan earlier for my PET scan and I'm still kind of loopy and tired. I must have missed the other post? I'm not quite sure what's going on here. Sorry if I offended anyone. I will come back later when my head is clearer.

Becky, you're not alone I read  and understood it the same as you.  I was getting lost and thought I was all loopy. lol  We evidently missed something he wrote elsewhere.
