Its awful what people will do for money!! Hemp can be used for so many things...a very useful plant! I'm sure I read somewhere that Abraham Lincoln smoked weed too? Wasn't it legal back then? Here in South Africa it's really cheap. I'm really lucky to have a friend , he's a Rastafarian ( he's Polish and has the most brilliant dreads...they go all the way down past his waist), He's an awesome friend, a really good guy, (not because he helps me out ), he's always bringing some plant or herb round for me to try to help out with the pain, or some reggae he found some where that we'll listen to and have great conversation over some coffee and a spliff maybe! He's definatly one of the more interesting guys I know!

Hi, I just wanted to say I appreciate the information you entered ! I am a retired nurse and I understand there are bad side effects to anything we may put into our bodies. What it honestly comes down to is a persons personal beliefs and how they choose to express them. In my humble opinion, the do gooders should do their good for themselves, and the ones taat disagree should do what is good for them! This is what makes the world go round. After my perscription insurance denied my pain medication for another glitch in the system, I can understand alturnative pain coverage! After waiting 4 days for the "system " to be corrected and demanding to speak to a supervisor, my problem has been temparaily fixed. Those who do not have chronic pain 24- 7 should not tell others how to control it by the means they can afford and obtain. I definately do more research on the pros of this subject!!! Thank you once again for your imput. Doris

All I will say is I don't believe that we can't smoke something that is 1000% Mother Nature but the tobacco companies can pollute our lungs (I'm not a cigarette smoker). I am 43 years old and for the first 18 years of my life the air was tobacco smoke. Both my parents smoked and there were 8 of us kids. Imagine riding in a stationwagon in the winter, windows rolled up, both parents smokin up a storm. Fortunately I have not suffered any affects of this (to date). I have however smoked pot since I was a teenager. I have never been on public assistance. I get up everymorning Mon - Fri and go to work. I don't call in sick unless of course my stumps have kept me up all night so I'm dead tired. I guess my point is I see nothing wrong with legalizing pot as long as you don't let it affect your taking care of your family. On that note I challenge each and everyone of you to ask yourself and your friends this question: Who would you rather drive home with, not that you do either drive or ride in a vehicle while under the influence, but you absolutely have to ride in one of 2 cars, 1 guy drank a 12 pack and the other smoked a joint, actually he smoked 2 joints, who do you ride with???

Vrim,
I guess I should have clarified a little better (I guess the part of my comment that said you shouldn't do either and drive was missed by you). The gov't could create laws like they do for everything else. Actually they all ready did. You will never stop drinking and driving just like you can never stop people from smoking. That doesn't make it right, but it's going to happen. Until they make all vehicles with alcohol sensors in them people will drink and drive and as long as there is pot available, people will smoke it. It's just human nature.
