Hi! I'm sort of a newbie myself(been nearly 2 months). So far, it's been great! This isn't one of those "ho-hum, woe is me" kinda sites. There are useful resources here, not to mention supportive people. I'm sure you'll come to like it here. I feel like this place lets us be real people for a change, that's what I like about the site most.We get to be real---vent about equipment troubles, ask for advice,enjoy a good laugh(or a cry), share info, look for work, look for love even (those last two are on Disaboom Jobs and Lovebyrd.com respectively...lol).
