Hey Chris! Great post. In the next seven days, it will be my youngest son's birthday. Connor will be 17 on July 10th. Hard to believe he is that old already. I don't know what we'll be doing, probably going out to eat and having family over for cake and coffee. I will be spending the rest of the week lost in the world of student loan research and scholarship applications. Good luck with your appointments!
Rainey, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. Please keep us posted.

Hi again Norma
I spoke to a Local Mental Health charity yesterday and they said the same as you. Just tell my consultant what has been happening with me and my concerns and a medication review should not be a issue.
As for the Housing Officer, that answer is not quite as straight forward. My local council (government body) runs a scheme called Lifeways. This initiative runs schemes in the community for vunerable, disabled and life challenged people. They provide Sheltered Housing, Supported Housing and Floating Support. I had an assessment with this team 3 weeks ago (even before i was in the chair), i referred myself as i felt i needed extra support with everything that was going on.
Two ladies came to my home and assessed my needs and support requirements. They could see i was very anxious, unsettled and in need of support. They felt that there were other organisations out there that i could benefit from moreso than the support they could give me. I was asked if it was okay to pass my details to other agencies, i agreed. The housing officer who is coming this afternoon is from Lifeways and will give limited support whilst these other agencies assess me and put there support team into action for me. As i say, not a one word answer at all lol
Take care x

Too many people in this thread now to say good luck or wow to each, but all have my best wishes. My news is that I am going to get a new puppy today. I am so excited! ! ! This has been a very hard time lately, with oral surgery involving 6 1/2 hours under anesthesia, a broken jaw, 22 teeth extracted, and on and on. It's been a month exactly since the surgery, and I am just now moving out of big time pain. Also, during this period we have been dealing with husband, Kirpalson's skin cancer with tumor removal and so on. Also problematic sister came, and for once, had a lovely visit. So it has been hectic, and now, for some joy, we have the puppy!
Wow, the puppy. Almost like adopting a child. Three prersonal references, a reference from a vet, a home visitation to inspect the home, a personal conference with the director of the adoption center, but WE PASSED.
Lovely little 4 month old mix of Lapso Also and Malti. With a puppy cut of short hair, all white, 9 or 10 pounds and won't get much bigger. A lap dog who wants to play. I am out of this world with excitement. And she comes today (or rather, we travel 2 hours again to pick her up). I think her name will be Chloe.
Will offer an update on Chloe. So happy.
