TriDog: Am I missing anything? Did I miss my cup of Obama cool aid? Please, people. I ask you. Take your personal wants and desires blinders off and think of the best interest of the country as a whole first. Remember, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." ******************************* Actually, after hearing Obama's touching acceptance speech, that quote comes to mind. I felt he inspires us all to stand up and start looking out for our neighbor, to reach out in understanding. But there ARE people who need help. The ones who want to pull themselves up by the bootstraps, but have no boots. OK, sure, maybe I partook of Obama cool-aid. Kumbaya. But for the first time..in years...I didn't feel ashamed looking at the red white, and blue, during the DNC. For the first time in too long, I felt a little bit of cynicism melt, and give way to some hope, and feeling encouraged. I felt his passion, and I did not find that his words empty. They rang true. I do think he is in the best interests of this country. We've lost our integrity and honor, and the world is watching. What's right for this country is to do the right thing. The qualifications that truly count are that. Coming from the heart. And representing us all, acknowledging that it is about US. Just look at the faces of the people in the crowd there, listening to him. Thanks, but I'd much rather have passion, and heart in our leadership, than cynicism, and indifference (and a whole list of other things). And lastly, we are NOT a special interest group. We are part of America. We have a voice. And I think this guy gives a *%$@ about us. Tami and Borias http://myheartdog.com

You can have those beliefs, wants, desires, and they are the same as a presidential hopeful?  No one is going to purposely support a party or some one running just to look good to other people.

Maybe I was not paying complete attention because the speech was on television somewhat late, but I do not think that it was a particularly inspired or different from what he has said previously.  In a few days I will go back and re-watch the event.
