General Disability Lifestyle

Following a few recent posts it is obvious that many of us share the love and passion of our own faith and/or religion.  I am fully aware that our lives are not perfect and nor is the world. 

We are all from different backgrounds and at different stages of our lives.  I have of course prayed on my own and also as part of a prayer group (about ten years ago).  I just wondered what people think about maybe trying to get a group of us together who have a group/community weekly prayer for each other, families, friends and all those touched by disability.  Obviously we are all remote and in various different countries.  Maybe by Disaboom or private email the group can become close, make new friends and feed off each other in a weekly group prayer.

It is just a thought at this stage but i would appreciate your feedback and whether it is something you would like to be involved in.

I think you have a great idea there. Maybe you could start a prayer group here on disaboom. If you get something going let me know

think is a super idea. have been involved in prayer groups for over 20 years. Did one of those spiritual gift programs and surprise!! one of my gifts is prayer. Have named my effort as being a "prayer warrior". Recently stated studying Contemplitive Prayer Lifestyle and have gained a great deal of Peace though the Centering Prayer (being silent in God's Presence) the Welcoming Prayer ( accepting and then releasing negative to Holy Spirit) and learning how to pray Holy Bible. I have already added disaboom to my daily prayer list cause I think every member would benefit from prayer, no matter what their beliefes.  Sign me up.

I am so pleased that already people are coming forward and wanting to get together a prayer group through Disaboom.

Just to update you, i have put a application through on Disaboom to start a group up as detailed in my initial post.  I am very excited about this and thank you for your initial support.

Please come forward and reply to this post if u too would like to become part of the newest prayer group out there and i will update you with more information as i get it.

I was thinking of calling the group, 'The Power of Prayer', being the title of this post.  Ideas and thoughts welcome as usual.

I can't wait till they approve the group so you can get it started. I would love to be a member of the group. I think praying for somebody is one of the best things you can do for someone.

I think it's a great idea Chris......I mentioned to you about the existance of a " Spiritual Santuary " group.......either has been started or is in it's birthing phase.......but I don't see why we can't have both.........they certainly aren't mutually exclusive.........let's do it.........now......how do we start.?.........someone throw out an idea .............Peace and love........Nomma

I am sure there is room for both the Spiritual Sanctary and The Power of Prayer.

I have submitted a form to Disaboom to get The Power of Prayer set up as a group.  Whether i will be using this exclusively or via email is unclear at the moment but i will update all who have shown an interest as soon as i have further information.

I can guarantee that this will happen and i can't wait to share and pray.
