I've gone to some of these sites on disaboom jobs and the google ads- jobs for the disabled. All it looks lke to me is helping you find a job in your area or what you are interested in doing for work. I have no problem finding a job. The help I need is finding an employer who could put up with someone who cannot keep a schedule, cannot sit too long, stand too long, cannot bend or lift, stay awake through the day, has a memory deficit and mental confusion, is suddenly struck with migraines and unbearable pain all over, has severe nausea spells, gets flu-like symptoms from common chemicals, hits an 8 on the pain scale from noise and bright lights and has no idea when they could come to work and no idea how long they could work that day. That's just a few things a potential employer for me would need to accomadate. I wish there was something I could do for work. I am broke and swinging between the work world and SSD due to all the denials for SSD. What good are all the jobs listed for disabled? They seem to me like just another job search agency. That part does not meet my needs at all. Just frustrated again here.

UMMMM...I thought I answered this, I'll wait a little longer to see it it comes back from wherever it's hiding, or come back later and try again.
I feel for your frustration Sherry!

Hi Sherry,
After getting Wheelin Rev Dave's posted response to my dilemma, which is identical to yours, I have thus far found nothing usable at the disaboom "jobs" site.
Risa (sorry if I don't have your name right), so far, all I've found on-line are scams for work-at-home sites. Please understand that I would be literally homeless if not for my mother; I have no (zero, nil, zilch, nada) money left after the next couple of weeks' bills! My credit cards are maxed out. I've been fired from my last two (2) jobs because of all of the symptoms I'm dealing with. Does your site require the expenditure of one red cent? If it does, I cannot even think about participating. The really sad thing is that I want to work very badly not only for income to pay for COBRA, my car payment, my bills, my dog's grooming and food, my grooming and food, meds, dr. visits, etc., but because I want to rejoin the world of contributing human beings. It really is frustrating as many of us know.
Sorry, but dem's da facts. Less pain and more joy wished for us all.....Ciao, Carol

Carol, that hireyourself site has a fee for just under $500 and you pay them $50 month. Same old stuff. Like you Carol, I am single and not looking for a job to get money to go shopping at Dilliards or take a little vacation, shit, I am talking a roof over my head, medical care and food. I am having a major bummer day, not dealing as well with all the pain, exhaustion and those 39 other Fibro symptoms right now or rather since last night. It's a waaawaaaa day, oh dear God what am I gonna do to stay off the streets kind of extended state of mind. Thanks.......
Less pain or more screaming,

Sherry & Carol,
I am so sorry I have no "magic answer" for you. I am sitting at my computer right now, crying over both of you. Disability is a b**ch, even with SSD. All I can do is pray, and that I will. Sherry, you told me once you believe in the power of prayer. Carol, I know you to be a person who practices her own faith and belief system.
Very Prayerful, Gentle Hugs,
Valerie
