Actually I find Wal-Mart to be the 2.0 version of the company store. In the past around here when logging was big there were company towns where there was a store run well by the company up to the Unions the workers pretty much had a job but could only afford to well give their pay back to the company for housing and food the things needed in life. This went on a long time even the mighty Grand Coolie dam used this model to be built that was up to the unions forcing a livable wage. Wal-Mart associates canonly afford to give back what little they make to survive after all the Wal-marts do not suppy housing costs.
I do not purchase if I have a choice from any place that does not provide livable wages and benefits to employees.

Yup, it's share cropping all over again.
