Congrats Timm! It would be hard to beat your Monster but at least now I have a standard to set my pimping goals for my Q6000. As soon as I get the nuclear reactor stabilized so that I don't have to keep shutting down the steam turbine driven motors, I'll have something to compete against you with on my chair! Oh, did I mention the 5,000 watt sub? LOL
Congrats again Timm! I always did love your chair and that video. Probably was a factor in choosing the Q6K over others too!

The wheels got turning and I found 2 great company’s to take on the project and custom paint and upholster the chair with Amp Energy/Dale Enhardt Jr new 88 NASCAR theme.
She use to be broadcaster for Supercross and now works for ABC/NBC/ESPN/Speed Channel!
With Nicks #1 Interest being NASCAR how perfect was that!
Everyone started donating to make Nicks Christmas.

That is so awesome Timm!! I am sure you are making Nick very happy!! I really respect what you are doing.
I too have Muscular Dystrophy and use a power wheelchair. I have an Invacare 3G Storm Arrow with short base, True Track, and gearless brushless motors. Almost 10 mph top speed. Not a bad chair, but your 'pimping' style is insanely awesome. I may decide to pimp this chair at some point, maybe a custom paint job to start.
Keep up the great work and Happy Holidays!

There was a couple of young men on the Today Show who did a documentary called "Darius Goes West" in order to get Darius' wheelchair "Pimped out" by the crew at West Coast Customs (MTV Show). MTV decline to do it, even after the crew of young men had traveled from Georgia. A custom car garage picked up the task and set his chair up, complete with spinners and a custom airbrushed back. The trip is filmed and available on DVD from dariusgoeswest.com The website has clips from the trip and the adventure on the website. I ordered the DVD after seeing the clips.
From what I read on the website and in watching the clips, this truly is a group of inspirational men and amazing friendships.

I wanted to add my congrats Timm-both on winning the contest and the awesome work you did for that young man--he looks so happy in such a classic "I'm gonna look tough" young guy kinda way!
Inaz-I'd love to hear more about the "Darius goes west" DVD once you watch it...maybe you could blog about it? I saw a short interview too a few months ago and had mixed feelings but don't remember it too clearly.

Thank you all sorry been crazy busy with the holidays, and my wife and I travle with Supercross (www.sxgp.com ) and the season just started in LA last weekend!
For the longest time I really struggled with who I was and my MD, once I learned not much I could do and stop caring what people thought of me I moved on at 100MPH.
So not that just wanted to open doors for others!
Its a great feeling but more important, its the least I can do for others.
Thank you guys again!
