Chris, I have heard so many stories of people who were told they would never walk again proving the doctors wrong that I would encourage you to not give up hope that you might be able to again. You tell the doctors you fall down, they tell you don't stand up, simple enough. They have to be careful not to give people false hope...and they see so much tragedy they become callous. At the same time, embrace being among the wheeled, I'm learning it is not so bad!
