Being as I'm self-employed and in the IT field, I spend a great deal of time online - both for personal reasons and for business related matters.
I'm literally online my entire work day here at Disaboom. so I probably get 8+ hours with all of you every day!

I do most of my shopping on line now. I found and joined this on line mall (free to join) that pays you rebates on everything you buy, and it has over 1000 stores. It is so much easier than fighting uncaring people, small doors, no ramps, etc. and they also give some of the company profits to the needy child of the week. I'm assuming the poll includes hours working. Easily 6 to 8 hours a day on a normal work day.
I go on the computer every night. I am addicted to my computer. A few months ago, I would spend 6-8 hours on-line looking for scholarships. Now, I am back to baseline, having exhausted the scholarship search, about 4-6 hours. I am usually on from 11 pm to 3 am, sometimes later!
I have a life...it's a cyber life...but it's a life...lol
During workdays I get up and check online.
I then go to work and logon.
I logoff and go home.
Before I go to bed, I check online.
On non-workdays while I'm logged-on, my attention might be elsewhere.
How much time do I spend online -- the majority of my waking-hours [smile].
