I SEE MY POSTING WAS OFFENSIVE TO SOMEONE !  IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE ..... I HAVE POSTED EVERYTHING FROM HOMEMADE XMAS GIFTS TO WILL THIS DESIRE EVER STOP ? !  SOME WERE RELATED TO POLIO AND OTHERS WERE JUST FOR FUN. THE ONE THAT WAS CALLED OFFENSIVE WAS MY HIGH HEELS AND YES IT DOES RELATE TO BEING DISABLED !  IT IS EVERY WOMANS DREAM TO WEAR HIGH HEELS AND I WORE BROWN OXFORD SHOES FOR MY LEG BRACES ALL MY LIFE . LAST FEW YEARS I AM IN A CHAIR FULL TIME AND IF YOU READ MY PAST POSTING I HAD A REAL HARD TIME ACCEPTING THE CHAIR , SO I FOUND WEARING HIGH HEELS HELPS MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT FOR ME . HOW THE POSTING IS OFFENSIVE IS BEYOND ME ...... AND THEN TO POST THE CAMERA I USED THE TIME AND DATE OF THE PICTURES ? I DONT GET IT ! THE NEED FOR THAT WAS ????................. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS POST ABOUT TRACTORS AND PUBS INCULDING PHOTOS AND MANY OTHER ISSUES I ENJOYED THEM ALL AND MY  PICTURES AND POSTING IS CALLED OFFENISVE !!  I WAS NOTHING MORE THEN SHARING AND SAYING ITS OK TO BE IN A CHAIR AND STILL BE A SEXY WOMAN , I DO RECALL ANOTHER WOMAN POSTING ABOUT THE JOY OF BEING ABLE TO WEAR HEELS AS WELL . IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE ! NEVER AND IF IT WAS I AM SORRY ....... RAINEY

Hi Rainey my dear friend.  You have done nothing wrong at all and certainly were not offensive in any way.  The certain person you are talking about who has upset you and answered your heel heels post is on a mission.  The mission is to upset people, make them feel ashamed, dirty and generally bad about themselves.

I do wish this person would learn to accept the cards she has been dealt and not take them out on other recovering or vunerable Disaboom members.  Im looking forward to seeing if she replies to this message cos it will be the first time i will have reported and blocked someone.

umm, I didn't read your post because, well, with the nerve damage in my back that goes to my legs and feet, I can't wear anything that doesn't feel like a soft sponge on my feet... hence, and I think I'll try to add a picture of them, I slop around in my Tennis shoe slippers !! Which in fact are VERY much like me, and with a size 5 foot, they make my feet look HUGE LOL...  but your post was one of those, 'hit home' deals and when I saw it I whined to John for about an hour about how I Should be able to wear heels also... giggle, who me a brat ??

Rainey, you can't let someone else make you feel like you need to always be saying your sorry or defending yourself on here... first off, it's not healthy to always feel like you did something wrong, if they don't like what you said, we all agree, ignoring is really best, Me included in there, I'm horrid about welding my mightly sword at times.... but more, you have a Right to be here, as does anyone else...  You don't curse at people, you don't throw fits and so far from what I've seen, if that ONE person is so uptight about what you post, that's their cross to carry, let them do so !!  YOU Be YOU and things will be just fine !!  HUGS and Blessings, Lisa Catherine

I'm still really new here, so I don't know about much regarding fightings and feuds - and if i'm lucky I won't have to. I did read your post (and some of the replies, before they got all viscious, because honestly that's not what the post was orginally about) and I wanted to say thank you for posting that! I have longed to wear high heels my whole life and due to hypermobile ankles would probably break my nose if I tried. (Actually just last night I had a dream about walking around in a pair of 1 inch wedge heels I own...how weird is that?!) However! Somedays, my weakness and rheumatic pain gets so bad I fear I'll end up in a wheelchair....at least now I know if that happens i have sexy patten leather high heel shoes to look forward to. What a silver lining! I know it sounds silly, but it's true.

Rainey, your shoes have brought me nothing but joy....well, maybe a little jealousy...lol.  I have shared the story of them with many an able bodied friend who also found delight in them.  I think you should get HIGHER heels.  But then, I did enjoy the movie Kinky Boots...lol.

McJane, I Loved that movie also... We found some boots that are faux soft leather for me, they have killer heels, I can wear them a short time, I'd LOVE some Pink ones, I'd find soft stuffing to put in them I think LOL.
