At least a week before the DNC, Disaboom has all sorts of announcements that they would be there, not to mention all of the updates there has been this week. My question is, will Disaboom be at the RNC? It is next week and I haven't seen the first mention of it on the site.
Also, in case no one has heard, supossedly John McCain is going to announce his VP pick tomorrow, August 30th. It's about time, so I hope he really does! I'm interested to see who it will be.

Really? I mean, I get the IMPRESSION that they do, but I haven't actually SEEN or been TOLD that.. so I don't know if that's true. If so, then that makes sense. If not, then that's a little biased don't you think? If they're going to present political coverage, shouldn't they give BOTH sides? Unless they have specifically said they are supporting Obama, then I think both sides should be represented.

I said the same thing in some thread somewhere. I hope Disaboom covers the RNC so that all the information is presented. Then I hope there is a big movement among the members here to get out and vote and after that to keep pushing those elected to work for we the people.

Well said, Unrepentant.
I am a big supporter of the motto, "if you don't vote, don't complain". This is the first election I can vote in because I am only 19, and what an exciting and possibly historical one to be apart of! Republican or Democrat, 'McCainniac' or 'Baby Mama for Obama', GET OUT THERE AND VOTE! There is a lot of people on here that say this and say that about each of the candidates, but I wonder just how many of them will actually get out there and let their voice be heard when it TRULY COUNTS! I don't care WHAT your political affiliation is or WHO you are going to vote for.. all I'm saying is if you are REALLY concerned about this country and REALLY care about what happens on election day, VOTE! You can't make a difference unless you make your voice heard.

Well ...Disaboom lets O'bama have his own profile to campaign and sell from the NObama Store. Don't see any statement that this is paid for by his Campaign Committee. I guess you could say they lean that way.

Disaboom announced months ago that they would allow any candidate to have a profile and group on the site. They stated that the Obama campaign was the only one who accepted the offer. I beleive the offer still stands if the McCain campaign wishes to set up a presence here.

I know that Obama has a profile here, but does that alone mean Disaboom is supporting him? Regardless, this is supossed to be a COMMUNITY and I think we, as a part of that community, have the right to be presented with both sides equally. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think that this site alone should be someone's primary source of research for ANY topic, but I think that it should be a resource. But more importantly, it should be a fair resource.
One thing I have enjoyed recently about the political related topics on here is that they have forced me to be informed. If I want to be able to intelligently give my 2 cents, I must go out there and do some research. And I have done that and have become a more informed citizen because of it. So to anyone who has told me, "You want to know, go find out", thank you for being that impetus.
