Hey Rainey! I don't remember too many of my dreams, but the ones I do remember are about half and half, one half I'm an amputee, the other I am not. I'm not a good "test subject" for your post here, sorry.
You'll get your gold medal someday!

I've had the opposite. Growing up I didn't have any diagnosed disability but I often dreamed I had a mobility impairment. I think I always subconsiously just - knew.

Dreams is a subject i could write a book about so easily. I remember alot of my dreams and have often thought having a pen and pad by my bed to make notes of what my dreams were about. As i have Mild Phycosis my brain is very active day and night. I often wake up in the night and it takes a good ten minutes to work out if it was a dream or real life. I have even had to telephone people up at sometimes who had featured in my dream asking things like. Did we go to a funfair yesterday? Are you alright after your car crash? Most of the time they understand why i am saying these things but occassionally it all gets a bit out of hand. Even if i am in my own bedroom it can take 7-10mins for me to recognise where i am.
One of my regular dreams is i broke my arm or leg or both arms and legs. I often have someone chasing me in the streets and children playing ball games in the street at 2am.
I have dreams that i was disabled before all this happennedl. Since i was diagnosed i seem to always dream i am able bodied again. All strange stuff. Love to go to one of those people who analysis dreams.

I'm on my way back to bed this morning, but wanted to add here...
~
I have wonderful dreams of running and walking on the beach... but my best dream is when I'm riding a horse or mule again and the freedom I once felt on the open land of WY. Or I dream I'm swimming again, oh how I miss those things. Then I wake up and have about a 5 ft span between the bathroom and by bed, but have to haul my old butt into my chair just to pee... LOL.. what a life !!
My "Nightmares" are always scary things about being stuck in my chair and facing danger... like if someone got in the house, what in the world would I do ?? Or if someone tried to harm me, how would I defend myself ?? stupid dreams like that. In the day time I know I have pepper spray and a defense weapon in my room if needed and YES I would use it if I had to !! AND of course, this wheelchair could do some really bad damage if I had to run into someone with it to save myself... But dreams are a factor of our lives and do their own thing inside the human mind LOL.
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend !! Blessings, Lisa Catherine
