I have been 3 times now and I think it is the GREATEST! The experience simply cannot be put into words, but it is a life changer. It is very handicapped accessible, but it is also hard living out there, so you have to come prepared. Ideally you would have a power chair or art car to get around, as there is a lot of open space out there to be explored so you will need mobility of some sort. I just pushed my chair around the first 2 years or rode my mountain bike, but felt like I was missing out on so much. Last time I took a 3 wheel scooter, but found out the hard way it was a piece of crap and died far too quickly leaving me stranded over a mile from camp. This year I had a golf cart to take, but instead I broke my femur 2 weeks before and had to cancel. I was crushed, but there is next year:) I have seen many people out there in chairs or with clear disabilities and they do great. And whatever they cannot do the community will usually stand up and help out.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me or reply here. I could write for days here, so I will try to keep it brief and to the point. My photo to the left is me at burningman.
Also, check out current.com and check out their burningman footage from this year. Gives a decent perspective on the festival and how it really is out there.
