Well just could not take any more of Sarah Palin’s speech, it was one of those if it sounds to good to be true then in most likely is a con. Her high points. She was a mayor had actually job responsibilities where as a community organizer actually defines his responsibility role in a community. She chased ear marks!Has a baby with Downs and gives a Samantha wrinkle of the nose and squint and says disabled people have an advocate in the White house. So how I was not bewitched at all nor believe that.Oh her hubby is part Native Alaskan ah so is most the population in Alaska one way or another. Not a world champ at oh the methods of winter getting around Snowmobile but a Snow-Machine. Oh Oh and A union MemberMom to a knocked up daughter as best we try it was gods will she was a mother. We met the Shotgun Son-In- Law!Her body language and facial expression reminded me of an overbearing sweet talking woman with a whine in her voice and a shot gun in her hand that would use her only family as the best worst example of another power hungry player that will say or do anything to be elected.I had doubts as to here to place the vote and it is not going to be in an old man a young woman can dazzle and get her way. I did not by the sell! But that is just me, last time I knew a woman like that I had to hold on too my wallet she would be too expensive for me.

She didn't sell me either, DSB. All she did was sling mud at Obama, trying to make herself and her running mate look good. This is something that McCain promised he was not going to do, but has done so from the beginning. I think McCain has made the biggest mistake of his life by picking her for a running mate.

These are just a few reflections of the McCain/Palin ticket.
a) As a women I can see past her skirt to realize she is NOT Hillary's replacement.
b) What I don't understand John McCain's predilection to surround himself with women young enough to be his daugther.
c)Both MCCain's and Palin's life story and choices do not seem too reflect the Conservative values they worship.
d) Are they what they say or what they do??????

I really over the years try and stay as objective as I can. I was one of the first generation that got to vote in my state at 18 even thought I could not drink or vote to then I was cleared to kill in war. Today I do not have to buy what is sold on the TV or the web heck I can check the facts as objective as they are reported. But she was really to good a 1/4 native hubby, gimp child, knocked up daughter all of it it's like every family has problems here or there but she rolled every problem a family could have into one package herself and for me that is one dysfunctional family that should seek out pro help. This is not a person that should be a heart beat away form the most important job in the free world. I did not see it as a every day family mom and dad I see it as a very troubled that is not facing it’s issue. I do not want this the norm either not this family.

This is what I am so confused about the position on gay marriage is clear from them yet they thow up a famly who has not one but every issues a family face excuse me but teen marriage is not a thing I'd endorse. If this is the new normal talk about extreme end points I'm not buying it God does not solve people problems he may time to time correct humanities problems. I feel for this yong couple as nobile as their love and ideals are reality tells me they have a hard life full of hard choices.

Sorry you were not sold on the RNC speech(es). I wasn't sold on the DNC speeches either. I think it would benefit all of America on all parties to listen to what they both have to say on every issue before casting their vote. I personally would not be here and alive today if it wasn't for my parents who were both "pro-lifers", for one. Anyways, I felt pretty much the same about Hillary Clinton when she was running for the nomination of President against Barack Obama through her own party. I couldn't stand her voice and thought she was very disrespectful to Obama. I also can relate to John McCain as being a man who couldn't feed himself and relied on compassion of his co-captives to feed him durring Vietnam. I too was in his shoes for 2.5 months when I had my Spinal Cord Injury and was fully paralized from the neck down and relied on my nurses and caregivers. That too reminds me? Obama cut nursing jobs in Chicago as part of his background info. I really feel sorry for any person who believes in a man that thinks about a question, "When is a life, a life?"; concidders that issue and any answer given as being beyond their pay grade. Who is he going to work for? Dead people? I say: Study, Pay Attention, Decide! There will be a test coming November 2008. Please be ready to cast an informative vote.

Your instincts are right. Palin is no friend to the disabled. She cut funds for children-including those with special needs, seniors, teen mothers, etc. She opposes healthcare for all, she vehemently opposes stem cell research which can only help the disabled.
As mayor, she tried to ban books in the local library. She is currently under investigation for firing a department head who refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law (an abuse of power). Palin tried to sue the Bush administation for putting the polar bear on the endangered species list, she doesn't believe that humans cause global warming. That solidifies her support of big oil who sponsored her inauguration (conflict of interest). Her greatest talent is self-promotion and misrepresenting her credentials. She has no foreign policy experience and no domestic experience outside of Alaska.
Before you vote, please do your homework and educate yourselves on the positions of the candidates on critical issues. Our country depends on it! America is not better off than it was 8 years ago and we can't stand 4 more years of the Bush policies!
