UPS, you said in about 10 or 15 words what took me one of my paragraphs to say lol PerfectlyImperfect we have very different political views in many ways but I have to tell you I am so very proud of the fact that as a young American woman you are so engaged in the political process of this nation. Women were not even afforded the right to vote until 1920 and only after a long and difficult struggle for suffrage. As far as I'm concerned anyone who wants to take my voting rights away will have to pry my vote out of my cold dead fingers. You keep on keeping on young lady because no matter what your party affiliation is you are part of the future of this country and your willingness to become involved in the process of governance is exactly what our founding fathers built this great nation upon.

Thank you so much for that UPS. I know just as well as you do that our political views differ greatly at times, but you have been someone that hasn't looked down upon me for what I stand by. Instead you use intelligence to challenge me and I love it when people do that because it makes me become a more informed person and makes me stronger and more passionate in my beliefs. I have always said I respect anyone's opinion as long as I feel like mine is respected in return. And you have always met that criteria and then some. I really do enjoy our discussions whether we are in agreeance or not.

Nightengale: We should also remember that this site has (and welcomes) members from all over the world. "Our country" does not mean "The United States" to everyone here. We should probably be specific when referring to "Our Country" in topics if we are only going to talk about the US in the thread.

Something I didn't even think about Nightengale. And a very good point. I changed the title of the thread.
