on a regular basis my body seems to stop working , it's as if the fuse in my brain has blown. then after a period of time when i look as though i'm unconcious my body awakens again. that part is as though my body is rebooting like a computer. after that every thing seems to go back to normal. these 'seizures' are realy restricting my daily life as they limit what i can & can't do. any one else had these type of things happen to them? please let me know as these seizures are getting me very depressed

I want to echo Norma's advice that it is really, really important for you to see a doctor about theses "seizures." They can have a number of causes, but to let them go undiagnosed and untreated is very dangerous. I don't think there is any question that the body responds to too much effort with the pain message, but what you are describing is beyond that. Please go ahead and get the medical opinion. Good luck. bonnie

Seizures are definately the result of a disconnet, and may be a manifestation of another disorder. Certainly a consult with a neurologist should be your initial step. There are many medications available for seizures, but first to your doc for an exam.

What if said "seizures" are the result of taking pharmaceutical "remedies"? I have a dear friend who has Lupus, among other ailments. She must ingest a plethora of prescribed meds intended to ease her discomfort. I often wonder if her neurologist, among other drs she sees truly consider whether said meds indeed cause her own pain seizures, what with drug interaction occurring within her body frame. In essence, are these alleged "wonder drugs" worthy of all they media they're so often given. I say, no matter what one neurologist, in the above scenario, says, seek out a second and third opinion before deciding what to do for your own "seizures" issue. I hope that you find the real help you desire.
