Dave, I go to a place in Santa Rosa called Mendocino Orthodics and Prosthetics. The brace mans name is Jon Morales and he is very good. Funny you should mention Hittenberger's. I used to go to Hittenberger's in San Francisco as a child. Don't know if they are still there or not. Good Luck.

I went to a Neurologist in Santa Rosa but I honestly don't remember his name. He diagnosed me and told me to take Vitamin B complex and pay attention to my fatigue and other than that, he didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about it.

Rainey, you said it. Keep fighting. Don't let it control you. I don't blame you for being angry, I am too, but I will not give up and neither should you. Bev.

Hello and welcome to Disaboom. I've never had polio, I'm an amputee. Good luck to you!
Rainey, I know how you feel, even though I don't have PPS. I just don't have the stamina that I used to have and wish I could have it back. It takes me forever to do things now. Hang in there, girl!

Yes, and i was two years old in may of 1948. I was the first case of Polio in Okinawa where my dad was stationed after wwII.
Reading or learning is always a good thing, Rainey. When i began learning about polio i found a lot of negative things, but in that negativity i also found the truth and the truth does set us free.
You probably researched the vaccine as i did and found that it really did not work as everyone tells you. You might have discovered that you got Polio from the vaccine. I found out that i was given polio intentionally. One of the doctors there is now very famous for his polio vaccine.
Don't worry about the unknown, please. We all have the power in our lives to make great things happen. Our greatness could never be, if not for the unknown.
