You are SUCH a baaaaaaaaad girl!!! Yippeeeee for you! A super-soaker seems like a great toy for the 4th, and for the parade. Dunno how many friends you'll make with it... but it seems like a BLAST (pun intended).
I look forward to a weekend of revelries and mayhem! Wooo Hoooo!!! I intend to party my ass off! <g> Packing to go camping up in the mountains... we'll head out of here by 6pm. Camp is already set up and a big 'ol pile of firewood is waiting for us. (It's nice having a crew of bipeds do all the hard work.)
We'll drive to this side of mountain tomorrow night and enjoy watching Laramie's fireworks from above - or at least at eye level? (If its not cloudy & if we have a designated driver that's not smokin' and drinking. Good luck finding THAT oddball in our group, eh?)
I'm dragging my Zodiac raft and MinKota trolling motor along so we can putz around the lake and do some fishin'. With no moon whatsoever, its gonna be dark as hell, or I'd be out playing on the water at night. I LOVE that. It's soooo creeepy! <g>
I've got to go load the coolers. They should be chilled down by now. I hope ya'll have tons of fun! BE SAFE... and, tip a beer for me, k? I'll do the same!

Hey Olivette! Thanks for an early preview of fireworks! I think I'll forgo the super-soaker and just throw candy instead. Sounds like you're going to have a helluva time. I wish I could be there to see your fireworks! Hang in there girl and have a good time!

Hi Joel,
My day was boring. I got up at 6:30 AM, played around on the computer, at noon I got up, brushed my teeth combed my hair and had some raisin bran and yogurt. Hmmmmmmmmm pain meds and bran...do you get how I was feeling? After I ate I went to sleep for 4 hours. It is so hot here and we don't have air conditioning. Tomorow it is supposed to be 96, yuck. I hate the heat, that's why I moved to Colorado and low and behold I brought the dad gum heat with me!
On the bright side, I had my amputation done on June 23rd and everything is coming along nicely. I am looking forward to getting my temporary leg. Even brighter, my friends have been making us dinners and wow are they good. Tonight we had beef stroganoff, green beans and garlic bread. That was from my girlfriend, Eddye. She even brought strawberry and whip cream cake for dessert! A couple of nights ago my friend Diona made a pan of enchiladas that were better than any restaurant. It really helps my husband out, he works a long way away and is really tired when he gets home..I wish I could get him to talk to other caretakers, maybe that would ease some of his stress. He has been my caretaker for 2 years steady and 2 other times. He never complains.
Well, I guess I felt like talking! I hope everyone else had a fairly decent day.

Hey gang! I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth. I did. We had beautiful weather, for a change, and I had a really good time. Had a good time at my reunion and saw a lot of people I haven't seen for a long time. Yesterday, Sunday, I spent the day recovering and looking up stuff on the computer about student loans and stuff. Same thing today.
Olivette, how were your fireworks up on the mountain? Mine weren't that great. We went to my niece's house, instead of my aunt's, and we were farther away. No matter though, I'll see really good fireworks this weekend. A neighboring town celebrates "Pioneer Days" and they will have fireworks this Saturday over a lake. My other niece lives across from the lake and we have front row seats. Can't wait. Hate the crowds and the traffic though. Bye!

It says Your Little Man is 11 months and 4 weeks old. But I know it has been stuck on 11months and 3 weeks for about a week or so.

The guys went to a ball game in SF on the 4th, leaving me alone for once! Fireworks were banned in the county since all the wildfires started. I've pretty much stayed in the house since the fires started anyway, all the smoke settled in my valley.
The hand control with the toggle switch on the power chair is broken, one day were the smoke outside wasn't overwhelming I went outside with my dogs. coming back, I noticed the whole thing was hot to the touch. I called the people who supplied it to get a new controller. That was a week ago, and I've not heard back from them.
It's also hotter than Hell. 108 today, supposed to get to 115 sometime this week. hmm... maybe it's a good thing my chair is down.

Hey! I heard Brett Favre may be coming back to the Pack! My heart is going pitter-pat right now. I just love Brett. I knew he wasn't ready to retire. I feel sorry for the secondary quarterback though. He'll have to wait another year to be first string. GO PACKERS!
I had a busy day too. Went to the big town to get my youngest a birthday present. Connor will be 17 on the 10th. Wow, my baby is so old! He wanted a DVD of "Scrubs." I don't like that show, could never get into it, but he loves it. We also got him some protein to take after he does his weightlifting. He goes every day to the school to do weight-training to get ready for football. He will be playing on the varsity team with the big boys now! He got a concussion last year and had a headache for two weeks. He missed three games. His CT scans were negative though and the headaches finally went away. He played in the last two games and did fine. I get worried about him though! I guess that's a mother's job though, to worry!
I'll play. I went to see my cardiologist this morning, walked right into a garbage container almost falling from the curb into the street because I was too busy looking at a gorgeous honey in a mini skirt instead of where I was going! and my cardiologist reported my ticker is still ticking! :)
