    • Greetings, Kara and Joel and Debbie and all y'all who read and maybe prayed for me and Gollyboy to get to Texas!  We're here!  Have been for exactly 10 days, and even tho it's all been in slo-mo, the days have whipped past and PASSED so quickly and JOY-us-ly and WONDER-fully!  i've learned a lot since leaving Raleigh on the 14th, spending that weekend in Clemson,SC and then the next 2 daze(!) on the road in a huge comfy chariot loaned by Pat's sister's husband and driven by her son with her along for the ride so sis and son could visit their never-yet-met granddaughter/niece in AUSTIN, just the other side of HOUSTON.

i've gotten just a tiny glimpse of how Gollyboy and me turned out to be Jesus' Way of bonding lots of my friend Pat's family as never before - just so we could find a ride to Houston!  Here we are and there are no words for how wonder-Filled these first 10 days have been!

For starters, the very first day (Wednesday the 19th) i was out back in our yard pruning dead sweet potato vines off the fence and trying to get my bearings - don't forget, i AM autistic and it aint easy to make such dramatic changes all at once!  Well, i'm just prunin' away and all of a sudden clear as His Voice always sounded in Raleigh, here's my Friend/Lord saying:  You need an ally, and it might be Sandra (the home health aide i just met an hour before), BUT you won't know unless you risk telling her who you are..."  Not exactly a command to obey, but certainly something worth considering ACTing UP^on if i knew what was good/Best for me!

so...about half an hour later when my dad went on an errand i went and got my "All Cats Have Asperger's" book and started going thru it with Sandra, after telling her what Jesus had told me.  We got about 4 or 5 pages into it and she stopped me and took my arm and said "I have a 25 year old daughter like this - i understand" - that's when the tears formed in my eyes and we hugged...and for the last 10 days (including Christmas WITH MY FOLKS at her home and meeting Cassandra as well as all her other many relatives)...WE have been a team like you've never seen!  How my Daddy God has been Planning and Plotting for the last nearly 2 years that Sandra has been caring for my folks!

i'll quit for now, except to add: my mom is NOT "fading fast" - in fact, she's not fading AT ALL!  She's coming BACK at a miraculous rate, more and more every day - such FUN we are having 2gether - just 2 little kids enJOYing each other's company.  She just told me yesterday, as i was manicuring her nails, that seems "far-fetched" when i told her i was gonna move my manicure shop across the way to do her other hand (move the stool i was sitting on!). Earlier Sandra and i took her for a "swim" in the tub in my bathing suit and incidentally washed her hair.  Later i asked her if, how that you're all warm and dry again was it worth it?"  She grinned and said "Yes!"

Often she's now coming out with whole and very appropriate sentences and her sense of humor is really blossoming all over again.  Sure there are ageing problems, but they're just obstacles to be gotten past fast so we can go on having FUN and tooling around the house minus the wheelchair that's sat idle for the last two days!  we walk her a lot via her walker = she's nice and hungry and sleepy when she ought to be because she puts in a GOOD day's work. AND just today, my Dad and me started in on getting HIM organized - and amazingly we make a good team, too...when i can get him to move in my slo-mo!

I love being here and being with both my folks and my new ally-aide who makes it all POSSIBLE because Jesus went out of His Way to have her here for me!

May all your lives be as FULL-FILLED/FILLED FULL as mine is now.  WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS: DARE!  Dream gigantically and then Set ouT UNfrantically!   and so, so many thanks for y'all's (that's my native Texan lingo) enCOURAGE-ments.  i'll be back here from time to time...don't know when...haven't had time or yen for even one logic puzzle in the last 10 days since landing here  ;)

in His loving Strength and Strengthening Love,

Jesus'n'me - valanne AKA gollyboy(my kitcat purrson who is also thriving as my co-so = soJOURNEYer
