    • Hey Y'all-

Need your wise input, please. Who has a ceiling lift they use without any assistance?

If it is you, what kind is it, what are it's best uses, and any other advice you can give? I'm getting ready for a remodel, the ceiling will be torn up, and I know these things need special bracing etc., so might as well put that in now in anticipation of later.

    • Hi I have a ceil hosit which I use independantly  is it a voyager model s10v550. I use it to get in and out of bed to my wheelchair I can not wait to save the money so i can have a track to the bathroom and one in the lounge and kitchen so I don't have to be in my chair all the time,

    • Hi LLL,

I see a Voyager420 which appears that it might work.  With my FSH, I am concerned about the upper body strength and the slings.  I currently am in a powerchair, and cannot get my hands on top of my head to comb my hair while in a seated position.  They all seem to suggest that there is an attendent, which I don't have.  Which sling do you use solo?

      Thanks for replying

    • Good Morning we did a remodel about 2 years ago and got it un under budget!

Celing lifts can be a ton of money and very limited meaning once its in that it, so as your needs change your stuck with the lift.

1st make sure you do a ton of quesion asking, make sure your contactor listens to you as your the expert!

And get it all in writing and with estimates!

We use port a lift, only $7000 vs $10,000 to 15,000 for celing lifts which can also hinder your sale if you ever want to sell a home.

Port a lift as a base that connects to you wall and can lift one and move in our case from the bed to the bath room, to our shower or jacuzzi tub.

We also have a base in our living room to move me around there.

We dont use it yet but we planed for the future.

Its nice cause it can be removed and placed in a closet when one has company or dosnt need it out all the time.

You could even use it to get one in and out of a car.

Good Luck email me if I can help.
