    Chat Room Information

     

     

    Disaboom.com has seven Chat Rooms for members to access:

     

    Ø  General Chat

    Ø  Sports & Rec Chat

    Ø  Care Giving Chat

    Ø  Dating Chat

    Ø  Parenting Chat

    Ø  Health Chat

    Ø  General Chat #2

     

    When you enter a chat room, your Username will be displayed at the top of the Chat Room Window   

     

     

     

    Options Icon (top right corner) -- Chat Room Options to controls features such as: 

    ·        Remember Avatar, Font Styles, Colors

    ·        Remember Username

    ·        Show Timestamp

     

     

    Chat Room Command Buttons (top of chat room window above user list):

     

    ·         Stop / Start Scrolling:  Toggles to temporarily stop scroll of chat room dialogue

    ·         Turn Off / Turn On Sound:  Toggles to turn all room sounds off

    ·         Open Message History:  Open new window of chat room dialogue history

    ·         Clear Screen:  Clears chat room dialogue screen

    ·         Exit Room:  Exit chat room and displays page of all available chat rooms.

     

    Once you enter a chat room, you will see a drop-down box on the right-hand side of the page that displays the name of the chat room you are in.  You can move into a different chat room by selecting a new chat room name from this pull-down menu.

     

    Toolbar Options (above text field):

     

    ·         Change Avatar:  Select image to display next to your name in the chat room

     

    ·         Font Options:  Changes display of dialogue text (bold, italics, underline, size & color)

     

    ·         Add Smiley:  Adds emoticon to Type Window / Click “Send”

     

    ·         Change Background: Choose a background for your chat window

     

    ·         Send flashEmotion:  Sends Flash Image into chat

               Other members can click on the Image to Play the Flash Animation

     

    ·         Predefined Message: Adds message to Type Window / Click “Send”

     

    ·         Send Sound:  Sends pre-recorded sounds to chat room
