Hi,
I'm sure that receiving that diagnosis was not easy. I don't know your history, and don't know your symptoms, but it may be worth while to see be tested for Lyme by a Lyme Literate Doctor. Some people have found that their symptoms dimish by being treated aggressively for Lyme. Infections in the nervous system can look like ALS. Check out the ALSLYME list as well as some of the Lyme lists. There are new ways to heal that traditional doctors are not using. I say this because someone I know was diagnosed with ALS over a year ago, but has been slowly getting better by using some of the new methods of healing.

Hi Allie, I was tested for Lyme but I don't know what the results were. What are the new Methods of healing it might now hurt to try it. I have been tested for Mecurey and I had high levels of that so I had all the metal taken out of my teeth and I am trying to detox myself now.

Welcome to all the newcomers in this thread!
Today is Lou Gehrig's birthday, by the way. He would be 105! For his birthday I listed some bloggers with ALS in my own disaboom blog. Some of you might relate to their experiences:
