Great to read your post brother in arms. I too became a member of the TBI squad about 27 years ago. I recently joined disaboom, as on my home page I saw the ad, and, too me, seemed the right thing to do. As you wrote to DiosesBueno, "I'm delighted you're in good hands and we're in the same boat.", I applaud in agreement, as God is Good! I often tell others, who ask of my experience of being in a coma for 5 weeks, what a glorious journey it was! There was no time, only an embrace of Love without bounds, and a feeling of freedom there are no words for. A great deal of what I learned during that moment in time has carried through much of what the world throws at me. I have not yet finished my bio on this site, but your post has helped me prepare, and know I'm among those who know. God Bless, Abram

The Spirituality of Disability is the subject that is perhaps the closest to my heart. I am so glad that you are taking this role in bringing together those of like mind/soul/emotion together, and pray that it will give support and love for all seeking it. I will certainly check out your links, and look forward to any future developments. My prayers are with you and your work. God Bless. Bonnie

Hello Chaplain Patrick. I truly believe that you CAN both HELP and ADVICE the right people here.
Patrick--- I was a church-going teenager who slowly stopped attending Service, as he got older. Why? No time, no need and no desire. Then, 3 weeks before my Wedding Day in 2006, I was nearly killed by a car. After Life-Support, lengthy coma and numorous Medical Devices, I LIVED! NOW.....WHAT DO I DO EVERY MORNING, right before breakfast and coffee? I THANK THE MAN, AND TALK WITH HIM!!! AND.....He talks back! I ask myself all the time------ did my NEARDEATH experience cause me to rediscover The Man? Does He realize that it is because of Him that I recovered from Severe Traumatic Brain Injury? I DO!!!! AND..... on Saturday, May 17th, I WANT HIM TO BE THERE when I marry my Sweet Angel Jasmine, the woman who I was going to marry almost TWO YEARS AGO. This woman STAYED WITH ME, through ALL of the TBI stuff!!! Let me say THIS------- THANKYOU LORD!!!! FOR LIFE, LOVE AND RENEWAL!!!! And, thank YOU Chaplain Patrick, for the Spirit you bring. You can reach me DIRECTLY at jimmyandjazzy@yahoo.com if you would like to correspond at some time!

It is good to be here. I posted a very short blog somewhere here on suffering. I'll need to go back and dig out my old books !
Blessings and may the Lord be with you!
John
