Almost everybody likes to travel. The question is, what's the best strategy and what locations are most accessible?

Do any of the popular vehicle rental companies rent lift vans? I've been unlucky in trying to find a company in the Savannah, Georgia area. I would like to travel beyond local borders.

Hi tdowning44,
I can't answer your question about van rentals but I did want to welcome you to Disaboom!

Hi! I saw this website http://www.wheelchairgetaways.com/ which may be useful to you. Our company rents things like wheelchairs, knee walkers, and electric scooters here in Arizona, but we have never had a request for lift van (yet). Hope that site helps you out!

Here in Ohio, I use Ability Van Rentals, but I don't think they have a location in Georgia yet. http://www.abilityvanrentals.com. Try Accessible Vans of America, they have a location in Augusta.

I too, suggest Accessible Vans of America at www.AccessibleVans.com
Been to Savannah several times prior to SCI. Love it, great food and accommodations.
