Well if I may post the company I found? Well with respects to rules, and I hope I am not breaking any? UlsterHandyMan@aol.com Is looking for phone reps in the upstate New York Area to help them get there business off the ground. They have paid me for ever lead/ Job that I have gotten for them so far. I am so happy with this little job, and I spend hrs having nice conversations with home owners and such. Good luck and blessing to everyone Thanks Richard Martin

Hi Richard,
I was looking at your posting yesterday since you were concerned about it being a violation. I wasn't sure. Today, I looked at it again along with your profile and I think what you are saying is that some small biz home improvement contractor in Ulster who is a "Handy Man" might be looking for another person to make unsolicited "cold" telephone calls to see if they can drum up any business for that contractor. I suspect your salary is highly based on commission?
As a job ad, Disaboom has a separate place for that here.
But there is value to your post and since you are not actually the person doing the hiring, I think you bring up a worthwhile point that many may want to consider. Many are looking for work. And where do they look? Job ads.
But...
What if an individual approached small businesses, explained your situation and a need to work out of the home and then make an unsolicited proposal yourself that you could potentially help expand their business by making cold calls for them. Whether you received any pay by the hour, I don't know. But if work is generated, perhaps you could get a "cut" of the profit?
I would think you could roll into their office as a small business person yourself and make the sales pitch to them as to why they need YOU!
I don't know anything about small business laws but this thought just came across my mind as potentially helping some of us looking for a job to supplement our small incomes that many of us have from Social Security. Is this a good thought? Is it possible and feasible?
Any comments?

There are many links here and to find a job doing telemarketing or sales. I don't know if they are scams or not. I do know that even the IRS is getting on the action. You can work for them from home. Even the websites that say "HOME WORKING" or "HOME JOB" utilize people with want to sell things for them. If you have email you have probably gotten numerous ads for transciption and rebates.
My problem is that I have aphasia (trouble with communication). I want a job AT HOME, NOT involving the telephone. Does anyone here have a business or a job that you don't spend all of the time doing sales? Anything at all, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
