    • FAQs:  Inserting Image in Discussion Forum Post

To insert an image or picture, the file has to be hosted on some kind of online photo storage/sharing website.  Then you create a "link" to the photo stored online when you post your message in the Discussion topic.

I personally use Photobucket [www.photobucket.com] because it's free and easy to use.

So all my pictures are stored in one place, online, and then I can access them no matter what computer I happen to be on (I have 3 computers).

To get started, create a Photobucket account and then upload the image files from your computer hard drive to your online photo album.  Once you have the image in your album, the Photobucket system generates "links" that include the URL and HTML code necessary.

      *  Copy the HTML link from the image in your Photobucket album.

      *  Position your cursor in the Message field of the Disaboom Discussion Post where you would like the image displayed.

      *  Click on the "Insert/Edit Image" button in the Message toolbar.

(it's the button with an icon that looks like a little tree)

      *  Paste the HTML link into the "Image URL" field.

      *  Enter a name for your image in the "Image Description" field.

      *  Click on the "Insert" button.

So, basically, the image doesn't exist on our site; it's exists on Photobucket's site and, using the link you enter, Disaboom displays the image in your post.  Here's an example from an image I have hosted in my Photobucket Account:
