    • Disaboom will not tolerate any form of abuse in the chat rooms or discussion forums.  You can report member abuse by sending an e-mail to customer service where a trouble ticket will be opened and an investigation into the matter will begin.

Please do not post member abuse reports in the discussion forums.  This policy protects the privacy of every member and ensures that the discussion forums do not contain potentially inflammatory dialogue.  In other words, no “he said/she said” accusations in the public forums.  The Feedback forum is for reporting suggestions or problems with the site; not for reporting problems with another member.

      Procedure for Reporting Member Abuse:

      ·        Copy Chat Room or Forum Dialogue to use as Evidence in your Member Abuse Claim.  Reports of abuse that do not have evidence to back up the claim will not be processed.  He said/she said is not enough information because one member could potentially try to get another member in trouble for no reason.

      ·        Email Member Abuse Report to:  CUSTSERV@DISABOOM.COM

      ·        Customer Service will contact you to verify information as part of the investigation.

      Chat Room Moderators:

Disaboom will undertake occasional moderation of the chat room but we do not plan on having a moderator all day, every day.  We trust that, as adults, most people will act in an appropriate manner and be courteous and respectful.

Ignoring a Member in the Chat Room:

If a member acts in a manner that you find offensive, use the IGNORE feature and you won’t see their dialogue.  Also, the person being ignored will not be able to contact you via Private Chat.  Do not engage in inflammatory dialogue with the other member.  The IGNORE feature is a powerful community tool to send a message to the offending member that their comments are not acceptable and they are being excluded (ignored) because of it.  You do not need to argue when you can ignore.

To use the IGNORE feature in the Chat Room:  Position your mouse over the member’s name in the box that shows the list of users.  Click on the left mouse button.  Then click on IGNORE.

If you need further instruction on how to IGNORE another member or have any questions about this policy, please send an e-mail to: CUSTSERV@DISABOOM.COM.
