Almost everybody likes to travel. The question is, what's the best strategy and what locations are most accessible?

Hi,
First time to this site.
I am buying my first travel scooter to be used for vacations. Is their any site that compares scooter brands, like "Consumer Reports" reviews cars, etc.? Have yu bought a particular scooter brand because of the research you did? Were you happy with it? What brands are the top ones to look at? How do you compare one brand to another? It doesn't seem that it is similar to going to your Ford, GM, Chrysler, or Toyota dealer and taking a test ride. There aren't showrooms where I can go to check out the various makes and models. The only thing I'm able to find is a ton of dealers selling hundreds of models on the internet. How did you make heads or tails about the many available choices?
Thanks for your help.

What do you mean 'travel scooter'? One that is light weight? disassembles? small?

Do you mean like an electric scooter that can be folded to fit in a car? Comparing brands is my job. The two brands that I have tested and gotten the best feedback from are the Phoenix Power Mobility Scooter (http://www.activeforever.com/p-2126-phoenix-power-mobility-scooter.aspx) and the Go Go Elite Traveller (http://www.activeforever.com/p-1330-go-go-elite-traveller.aspx). They both are reasonably priced (though the Phoenix is a little less), they fold easily, and (in my personal opinion) they are attractively styled. The battery life is great, and both Pride and Drive have great warranty coverage on the scooters.
It basically comes down to exactly what you are looking for. There are plenty of options available, but we need to know what your needs are. Some models are priced extremely low, but you are getting exactly what you pay for (buyer beware!). If you'd like to talk about this more in depth you can send me a message or call and talk to one of my customer service counselors at 800-377-8033.
