    • Greetings out there!  I'm a facilitator/Developer for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and I am myself mobility-impaired.

My question is: are spillable wheelchair batteries becoming obsolete? I am under the impression that the newer non-spillable gel type batteries are now pretty much commonplace.

I have worked in the airline industry for going on 42 years.  During that period, I have loaded/unloaded/handled passengers with disabilities and their assistive devices with as much care as I could.

I teach a complete module on 14 CFR, 382 to new employees and am soliciting your experiences, feedback, and comments and a not-so-user-friendly mode of transportation.

      Jeff, the "finetooner."

I think gel are state of the art. at least, that's what I have & they go on planes. I am 59, married, had a stroke 10 1/2 yrs. ago, & was in mental health for 21 yrs.

      therapeutially brain damaged,
