I'm not into console gaming but I play Everquest II on the computer. My last experience with console gaming was back with the Playstation 2 and some friends of mine made me try Kingdom Hearts. Um, when did we go from buttons A and B, start, select and the directional pad to 50 billion buttons?? Guess I'm too old school.
I suppose I am... to a point. I'm not going to upgrade my PC system to run the latest games.
I'm more a tabletop wargamer. I figure if I'm going to waste time like that, I'd rather do it in relationship/social activity like miniature wargaming.
Still addicted to Diablo II: LOD, though not as much as I used to be. I'm pretty much limiting myself to that, at least until one fine day when they actually come out with Diablo III.
Oh I loved Kingdom of Hearts! Wasn't skilled enough to be it of course but it did actually capture my attention more than most video games...I just get bored! I have tried the Wii though and it's fun! The only one I've ever beaten (in modern times so NOT counting old school Nintendo) is Nemo on PlayStation. Usually my boyfriend is occupying the system but I guess sometimes they are a good way to let my brain relax...almost always I prefer the internet for that though!
Kara how could you get bored of kingdom hearts(just kidding).
Heres a tip:
in the begining when those three people ask you those questions, you have to answer them in a certian order so you level really fast!
Old thread, but caught my eye. Yes, I'm a hardcore gamer (I R t3h l337 !!!!!!1111oneoneone), I'm one to mod my PC to the max (building a new rig for the holiday season). I'm even going into the Game Development field. :p

My husband is too. Please BLESS that he can find a job after he graduates. Seems like all the jobs we've been looking at online for that field want someone with tons of experience. He's going through ITT Tech, so hopefully they haven't been lying to us the last 2 years and they will be able to find him something.
For the Game Development field, a great way to work up some 'experience' is while in school (or even on your own), to gather up some fellow classmates and work on independent projects, modding games is a good way to show your expertise and get a work portfolio going. Having something that employers can actually try out is the best way to showcase your skills.
I really gotta check this section more!!
In addition to playing console games, I play online games. The main online game I play is called "Maple Story." The main reason I play though is because my little brother does.
It's kinda awkward though because I am considered old in that game at 20(ages range from 12-17). I have actually seen a 45 year old on there playing with thier kid!
I'm pretty attached to my Nintendo DS. And I've got a PS2 that I never use, so that's about it for me.
I used to love playing nintendo. My favorite game was called Xevious(sp).
I use the PS3 in my room to watch DVD's. Ever try to manipulate a dvd with one of those controllers? I can't tell you how many times I've had to rewatch things because of an attempted pause.

I will definitely let him know. I've been after to him to put together an art portfolio, so at the very least they know he has the eye for detailed design concepts and possibly storyboarding. Right now the program is very general to all types of media, not just gaming. The specific game design program is not until he graduates from the original program.
Call of Duty 2 fan here. I play the game almost every day online (multiplayer).
