      Hi everyone,

I've been a part of Disaboom for about three days, now, and thanks to Daisys, I think I am where I should be in order to introduce myself.  Actually, there may be others of you who have tried to help me, but I'm w ~ a ~ a ~ a ~ y behind on my email and may not have seen your post, yet.  To everyone who has sent me posts, thank you for any and all advice and posts.  I am really enjoying the site and getting to know each of you.  I can see why it is such a great site.  I never heard of Disaboom before a few days ago, but I'm very thankful that I stumbled onto this site.  It has done much to lift my spirits.

Among other things, I have fibromyalgia/myofacial pain disorder.  migraines, sinus headaches.  Some of the other frequent challenges are sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome.  There are a number of other medical problems, but I know that everything happens for a reason and one of the things I am thankful for is the ability to be home with my retired husband.  He is the treasure of my life and I love spending time with him.

Yes, it would thrill me beyond words to not have any medical problems or pain.  And yes, there are things about my life that could certainly be adjusted for comforts' sake.  But the truth is, no two people are dealt the same hand in life and I am thankful that the hand I've been dealt is one that is sprinkled with joy to temper the difficulties.  There are so many ways my life could be worse, as I am well-sure many of you know, so for me to bemoan the trials that I do have would only make them worse.

Perhaps it is my writers' mind that helps me to look at things through rose colored glasses.  Or maybe its just that I'm a perpetual optimist.  Either way, I do see the many ways in which my life has been blessed.  I love to write; always have, and now, I have the time.

I've read many of the blogs and posts on Disaboom and it makes me realize that I am, indeed, blessed.  Thank you all for the hope and courage I see over and over again.  I am truly grateful to be here.  Big Smile
