  • I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA, ARTHRITIS, DEPRESSION AND SLEEP APNEA. I AM IN NEED OF SOME DOCTOR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE METRO ATLANTA AREA. I NEED A NEUROLOGIST. ISSUES INCLUDE HEADACHES, MUSCLE WEAKNESS AND NUMBNESS AND MEMORY/CONCENTRATION ISSUES AND OTHER COGNITIVE ISSUES, NEED TO HAVE SOME TESTING DONE. ALSO NEED A RHUEMETOLOGIST AND PAIN MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATION.AND MY FINAL REQUEST IS FOR A PCP THAT MIGHT BE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF FIBRO/FIBRO FRIENDLY. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

  • Atlanta has a big hopital and may even have a teaching unit.  Consider contacting the hospital for referalls.  You didn't mention if your sleep apnea is controlled and that can affect your fibromyalgia.  You would need a sleep /lung doctor.  Also many hospital dr.s have private practices too or are affiliated with the hospital.  Having good general health and getting sleep will also help the fibromyalgia.

Goodman age 55,upstate New York dyslexic but big problem is that do to a 2am night shift,after a year and a half I was really sick from light and sleep deprivation and developed a mood disorder and then 5 years ago was attacked and still suffer from PTSD. Developed sleep apnea and now take med ication for that to. On the outside I seem perfectly well.
