Hi, I'm currently undertaking some research in order to identify a clear set of guidance with regard to taking mobility scooters on board buses in London. For both drivers and passengers the policy remains unclear.
So i am looking for feedback from scooter users on their experiences but also other user groups such as those in wheelchairs, basically anyone who travels ion the london bus network in particular who has something to say with regard to mobility scooters. If you have had good or bad experiences on buses in other countries, areas - i would like to hear about these also.
This could be something such as finding it difficult to manouvre into the designated space, stability issues when turning corners or having your path to exit blocked by a mobility scooter (when not the user).
I am planning to visit the Mobility Roadshow in order to speak directly to users and carry out some user trials. I need to hear directly from users as my opinion alone simply will not do!
I am planning to compile a questionnaire on the subject and would be extremely grateful for anyone wishing to fill one of these in for me. If so could you email me on: ccd-access@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks so much for your time :o)
