Update on my dad and his latest surgery

  • HI everyone, and thanks again, SO much for all the thoughts and prayers. I beleive they help.

    My dads surgery was Sat and the did have to take more of his leg. They were NOT able to get all the infection out. They think the couse of the infection is the stint (SP) that they put in back in 04 when he had his bipass surgery. Im not sure how this is becoming infected but apperently they think it needs to be removed. SO, that means another surgery. They were not able to do it Sat because its inside of a major artarie and a vascular DR has to take it out. So, thats where we are now. Waiting again to see whats going to happen next.

    Ill keep you all posted.

    PS, I have checked out the other sites you all have given me and I have gotten a TON of info. Thank you all!

  • Hey Sheila. I've been thinking of your dad over the last two days here. I'm glad you sent us an update. I'm so sorry they had to take more of his leg and they weren't able to get all of the infection. I'm sure the antibiotics will take care of the rest. Yes, infections can spread to stents. You and your family have been through so much, I hope this will all end for you soon and you and your family can settle down and have some peace. Godspeed.

  • Hey girl....my computer had issues.  I know that you sent me your moms phone number, however, I lost everything...including your number, email address, etc.  I hope everything is going better than it was the last time we talked....I have been thinking of you all a lot.  PLEASE, email me, or call, with yours and your moms numbers again...I did not forget, just lost everything due to computer issues.
