Hey everyone,
So a friend of mine a while back got a job through the National Telecommuting Institute. She did work from home for the IRS. she swears they have a great program, but i was wondering if anyone here has ever had any dealings with NTI, and if so how they went. i recently went through some great truama in my life and as a result am now a recently diagnosed type 1 diabetic. my body is still having a great deal of trouble adjusting to my new medications, and i am looking for some work from home for the time being.
any advice or input would be greatly appreciated and would help my jobsearch.
thank you

My 2 year anniversary as an (adult diagnosed) Type 1 diabetes is coming up this month. We don't yet have a diabetes form here but if you want to talk diabetes stuff I'm sure we can find some place.
Can't help with the work thing. I've been lucky to be able to just keep working, even the days it seems like I'm living on glucose tablets.

Hi Timmy, I have indirect feedback on NTI. Another member on here sent me that website. They ARE legit, and they take out your FICA taxes and SS as well as Federal taxes too. They are a good stab at owning your own business but don't require as much as totally going it alone. I am considering it also, have you looked at the website? It sounds good, requires alot of computer knowlege and a long list of things you must be able to do on there before even filling out an application. Also requires very specific home office specs as far as megs and ram, a headset with corded phone and microphone that has mute button and background noise filters. You also need a letter from your Dr. stating you must work from home, that can be hard to get. There is another that is good, it's www.AlpineAccess.com it's worth a look. Both of them work with DVR counselors and the DVR in your state can help to get you what you need to get started in these home businesses. Good luck with it, keep in touch , I am trying for one of these jobs too. Another one NTI works with is AAA roadside assistance. Much monitoring and listening going on in that one. Alot of Big Brother.

We need a diabetes forum, who wants to start one? I am type 2 and so are most of my family and aquaintenances. Have some background. All the rest of you diabetics join in now Am looking forward to hearing from you. And Cudachaser, I know what you mean about walking on wet floor and feeling like your shoes and feet inside are wet. Sometimes I have to look down to be sure they're not. It's a neuropathy thing, if you have bad feet. And yes, you can forcast the weather too LOL/ snow and ice are the worst, not only not being able to walk on them but driving can be fun too, NOT! Imagine if one of us ends up in a ditch, try walking 2 miles for help with legs that don't work,.
