    • Muscal twitching happens when the nerves inside of your body begin to fire involuntarily,a series of electronic implues are fired along the nerves they occur when particular nerve fires on inpulse unexpectedly,as a result your muscles don't contract and relax as they should ssome suffers fid walking affective help of muscles to relax and stop the twitching. I'd been asking for along time for this anwer and I found it on ask.com and I thaught I would put a sumary of what I found on our sight I'm sure others suffer from this with their fibro as I do, Gentle Huggies; Beck

    • Hi Becks and thank you for this quote.

I have sufferred from muscle spasm for about seven or eight years now.  I knew it was basically my nervous system going off on one and  i used to mainly get in during panic/anxiety attacks (mainly at night).

Now i have been diagonosed with Root Nerve Irration in the back i experience even more spasms so basicly my nerve inside and out have had it.

      Joy!  Take care hun x

    • Thanks Beck.........for the clear description of what happens when we have muscle spasms or twitches. I have Fibro......but also a SCI....involving L-3-4..........so my legs act up at different times causing varying degrees of pain and discomfort. It's news to me that Fibro can cause it also. Again.....thanks for the info......Peace and love........Norma

    • Hello Norma.  Can you please tell me what SCI is? Thank you.

Do any other readers suffer from panic/anxiety attacks and muscle spasm during attacks?

    • Sorry Chris.......I don't like it when people do that to me......assume I know what certain initials mean......SCI ......stands for Spinal Cord Injury...........and I know for sure we have members who suffer from panic/anxiety attacks. It's one of the few things I actually don't suffer from. I would guess that an anxiety attack could indeed bring on a muscle spasm.......but I'll leave it to someone with experience to answer you. You hang in there Chris......you sound like a really neat guy who's been thrown a few curve balls lately.............Peace and love to you.......Norma

    • Norma...you are forgiven.  I understand the confusion.  My full Christian name is Christopher and therefore you were right first time.  The confusion may of came because in a previous post i said something about spending time with half naked men lol.  I am a gay guy hence this reference.  Oh it's like coming out all over again lol.

Anyway glad we sorted that out, for now take care xx
