Yup! And have been since I got my first drivers lisence at 19. Now 32 and I made sure my family knows my wishes as well.
I'm not eligable to donate blood, and I'm not eligable to donate bone marrow. But I sure do hope someone can use my corneas, heart, kidneys, liver and perhaps other parts when I'm done with them.

I checked into being an organ donor again in February. I was signed up to be an organ donor before I had my lymphoma, but was unsure if I could be one again. I cannot donate blood or plasma, because of the lymphoma being a blood cancer, which makes me so sad. I was happy to hear that I could donate at least some organs, but not all. I believe it's so important to be an organ donor. Being able to make such a difference in someone else's life is priceless. I've also instructed my family of my wishes.

Maybe someone is kind enough to donate a brain to me? I lost mine, so...
Anyway, the idea of my organs being in so many places, separated like that sounds kinda weird - lol.

Sorry, I couldn't resist..
And for the record, no I'm not an organ donor yet, but I keep meaning to become one. Just thought if I was going to add a sarcastic comment I should contribute something useful lol

I am an organ donor! Have been for many years. I believe it's very important to be one. I don't know if they'll find anything worth using, but just in case they do, I'm giving it to them. I figure if I donate my brain to science, maybe they will stare in wonder and ask, how did this woman ever survive with a brain that looks like swiss cheese!!!
My Grandmother willed her body to science years ago. She ended up at Uof D Med. School. About 7 years later we got an urn in the mail with her cremated remains. There really wasn't much left. I decided I would do the same. When they started doing transplants, I figured that would be even better. What an awesome thing, to be able to help someone else live by donating something I no longer have use for.
bblessed, but only if you want to be,
