  • Just on here hoping to meet new people.  Life as you know it anyone with a disability knows it is hard unfortunately but you have to overcome and deal.  Looking for anybody that could point me in the right direction on services or organizations out there that can help getting things such as a new handicap equipped van

    Welcome aboard...Disaboom has tons of material on the site...just explore! I got my hand controls for my van thru Vocational Rehab.

  • It may sound like the obvious, but have you contacted the MDA in your area?  That's a great place to start, and they can lead you to other organizations if nothing else.

    If your working or trying to become employed check with your local Voc Rehab...they can help with a new conversion or a re hab on a current van.

     

    MDA will help on a new chair ($2500) or $500 for repairs but not much help on the van.

     

    Also the conversion is tax deducable if your working.
