My names Aaron and i'm on this site because i have to make a life changing decision soon. August 25 2006 i was in a high speed motorbike wreck and tore my right foot 85% off my leg exsposing the Tibia, Fibula and half the Talus conected to the Tibia and the other half in the foot still. I've gone through 4 surgeries in the almost 2 years since my accident and deal with constent pain. I just recently found out Monday the 2nd of June my ankles falling apart very fast. The doctors are now suggesting i go with a fusion but i'm leaning towards amputation because i've never heard anything good about fusion. Aside from that though, i try to be active in the ways i can. I love the outdoors still and look forward to getting back to all those active that take place outdoors. I'm a pretty fun guy generaly, pain permiting (lol, JK) Anywho, if your one of those people that fall into the fusion or amputation category, i'd love to hear your side of the story, it'd help me out huge.
