About Me

I am a 39 year old stay-at-home Mom. I have 2 children and have been married for 6 yrs. I have a social work background & was a foster parent with a medically fragile certification as a single person. I have Spastic Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair full time. I've had a Baclofen pump (ITB Intrathecal Baclofen) since 1998 that has helped manage my spasticity a great deal. Besides CP since birth, I was diagnosed with Fiibromyalgia in 1995 following a car accident. Due to that, I am familiar with the joys of living with chronic pain, and often feel more "disabled" than I ever did with CP alone. Inspite of my conditions, I am very active and hardly sit still in a day. I was recently made aware of the sport of power soccer, and now am participating in a team sport for the first time in my life. (Power soccer is for those who use power wheelchairs, btw).
