About Me

A little about me.. let's see... I'm from Central NY (read: not the city!) and I'm 26. I graduated in 2005 with a BA Bachelor's degree in Sociology (with a more than a few classes in Social Work as well) and recently moved back to CNY after working elsewhere part time for a year and am looking for work again in the human services. It's been several months and this is no easy task, anyway...

I have a lot of interests including reading (for fun, even), creative writing (though I haven't written in awhile), music & meeting new people ... to name just a few.

Oh yeah, and since this is a disability-related site, I guess I'll also mention that I also have CP (Cerebral Palsy), mild Right Hemiplegic CP to be all *medical model* about it. Means that, among other things, I type using mainly my left hand (and that typing isn't my favorite activity but it's helpful at times), and that I have adaptive driving equipment to help me drive (spinner knob & left foot accelerator) but sadly at this point, no car for said equipment (that's another story). I have trouble painting my nails & peeling potatoes and such. Also, it means I'm supposed to wear a brace (an AFO) but I don't always because it really limits my choice of shoes.
