About Me

Herb Drill, of Jacksonville, FL, with congenital Muscular Dystrophy and glaucoma, heads Able Me Associates (marketing consultants). His experience includes Philadelphia Inquirer (Suburban Staff Writer), Andrews Publications (Editor/writer on civil litigation in corporate officer/director liability, securities insider trading, and RICO violations), RCA Service Co. (Technical editor on testing procedures for the U.S. Navy's Aegis radar system ships), Radio Only Magazine (Staff writer), and Philadelphia Evening Bulletin (assistant financial news editor and twice-weekly column on marketing). He is a charter member of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, Society of Professional Journalists/Sigma Delta Chi, and Northeast Florida Writers Association. He has a business administration degree from the Wharton School/University of Pennsylvania (marketing), studied at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism, Central High School for Boys (academic diploma/honors), and Society of American Business Editors and Writers seminars. Drill has contributed articles to Kaleidoscope Magazine, Florida Times-Union, SIGNews, Florida Trend Business Magazine, Exceptional Parent Magazine, Jacksonville (FL) Business Journal, Paraplegia News, New Mobility Magazine, Corporate Online, Modern Physician, Overdrive Magazine, Philadelphia Daily News, Penn Medicine (University of Pennsylvania), Independent Banker, Investment Advisor, Pennsylvania Economy, Counselor Magazine, Environmental News, Sports `N’ Spokes, and Police Times, among others. He has been a correspondent for Advertising Age Magazine, Journal of Commerce, Fairchild Publications, and Reuters Economic News Service. He is a member of the Friends of the Cummer Museum (Jacksonville), has been an adjunct professor in Drexel University's Humanities and Communications Dept., and has co-authored The King's Quest and A Man of True Distinction, with science teacher Mel Flitter. His wife, Barbara, is a CPA licensed in Florida and Pennsylvania. They have three children and five grandchildren.
