About Me

50 year old male, T-11 SCI (incomplete). Injury occurred in late '81 on a motorcycle. Continued to ride them until '95. 3-Wheeler custom made by myself. Miss it tremendously and am building another. Happily married, 2 boys since injury. The first 3 years or so after my injury were the toughest. Takes awhile to regain personal confidence and self esteem. In retrospect, it is important for me to convey that my biggest problem in re-orienting myself socially through this thing was not so much a problem with others and their stereotypes as it was more likely my own stereotypes lurking under the surface. Does that make any sense? Anyway, life is good. Learning to do so many things differently was a nightmare. With time though I began to understand the depths of the support and friendship of those around me. That awareness usually came to me as an epiphany upon reflecting of how difficult I often made it on the people who loved me. But I digress here a bit in that these things can be discussed later. These days I am a small business owner of a PC repair company that isn't making me rich, but keeps me busy and comfortable.
