About Me

I am 41 years old. Ihave lived in St. Louis basically all of my life. When I was thirteen years old, I was diagnosed with FSH Muscular Dystrophy(Facioscapulohumeral). It didn't really begin affecting my mobility until I was around 36. I had always been able to work. I worked as a cook for 18 years even though I was an excellent student(honors) in high school. I just never gave college(UMC) the effort that I should have. I really like the sciences, mathematics, and computers. Today, it is hard for me to get around outsidemy apartment. I am usually OK inside my apartment for the most part, but I lose my balance easily and sometimes fall. Because of this, I use a cane to get around when I'm not at home. Not only does it help my balance, but it also gives me peace of mind which has been a real problem these past few years. I am currently living on Social Security Disability and have not worked for 8 years.
