About Me

Hi everyone!! My name is Shirley. and I have Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy from birth. While my childhood surgeries were done to help me "walk" better, I became symptomatic in my early 30's, and once my surgeries hit double digits, I quit counting. Secondary symptoms include djd of the spine, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and bursitis in my hips. Other issues occurring are too numerous to mention. I use a forearm crutch when I walk....long distances require my wheelchair or scooter. I've always been a survivor, but even so I feel the need to connect with a group who have things in common.
